So we have been absent from blog world for a while. Things have been a little crazy needless to say. We've done a lot and had some fun too. Here are a few of the things we have been up to, in no particular order.

Mike took Clara on her first backpacking trip. She did great. The hiked to Dog Lake and then up to Reynold's Peak the next morning. Mike carried the pack so Clara hiked unassisted (mostly) for over 5 miles round trip! Way to go!

The yard is always a big project. We put up a few new tree swing toys. Hannah calls the hammock a boat and Clara learned to climb the rope ladder on her own. Mike planted a variety of potatoes as a cover crop in our garden area while we were gone. So we've had to pull them up before we plant anything else. The blue potatoes are probably our favorites. But here the new plants are in, a little later than usual, so we will have to wait a while longer for a harvest. Let's hope the frost is late this year as well.

Mike spent 3 days sanding our hardwood floors before he had to go back to Spokane for a few days and move our stuff here with his dad (Thanks Pat). My dad and I finished sanding and my dad put the finish on them. (Thanks Dad) We also painted the girls' room and Luke's. This is Luke's.

The girls help make their new sandbox. They painted it PINK. Sorry Luke, but I'm sure with two older sisters you'll love pink too.

Luke recently discovered a new found passion, looking at his fishy mobile. We just put it up and I'm afraid he may like it too much to sleep.

We have been up the canyons a few times. We went up for BBQ's and for a cookout for the fourth of July breakfast. I love being so close to the mountains! The girls found this log with Grandma and Grandpa, it made the best teeter-totter.

We celebrate Mike's 30th birthday. He prefers apple pie to birthday cake. Happy birthday, we love you!

And finally, we've been enjoying being with family and friends. My sister Sarah flew in to help with all these projects and the move. We took the girls to the farm and on pony rides. She also took them on the merry-go-round and to the hello kitty store, their favorite, and so much more.

Thanks so much for everyone who has helped out so much with the move and getting the house ready. We really appreciate you all and all your help.
