Escalante- Respite from winter

Went down to Escalante over spring break and enjoyed some sunshine.  Escalante holds a lot of memories for me.  Last time we were there Heidi was pregnant with Clara and I had just graduated from undergrad.  We found a beautiful yellow mariposa lily along the hole in the rock road.

We stopped by and did one hike in Bryce there was still snow in the high plateaus.

Clara is unquestionably a professional poser.  Hannah is learning.

Clara's favorite hike was peakaboo, Hannah loved Calf Creek.

We discovered a new canyon which was exquisite.

The girls would tell Baby Ume "plum" to "suck it up" so Mom could squeeze through.

Found some amazing moqui marbles.

We did get a couple of rainstorms overnight and enjoyed playing in the extra-water.

I'd say everybody was "tough as nails" and we headed home with tired legs.

What fun! We name all our in utero babies as well. "Ume" is a cute one!

That stripped canyon is amazing. Great photos.
