A Bit of Culture

We went to the SL art festival this past weekend.  We thought we would walk around see some cool art and enjoy a day out.  We found the kids' "art yard" first and enjoyed most of our time there.  Mike had finished the steeple chase that morning (way to go Mike!) and enjoyed a shady seat listening to a mediocre story teller and hanging out with Charlotte.  The kids and I went from booth to booth creating and exploring.  They got to try a variety of musical instruments in the instrument petting zoo.  Now Hannah wants a cello for Christmas.  They made a variety of crafts, from birds nests, to thaumatropes, to driving goggles and many things in between.  We ended the day with free greek yogurt and a magic show.  It was hot, but we had a great time.  Mike and I may have to get a sitter in the future if we really want to see anything outside of the "art yard."  Good fun for all.

Driving goggles made the best pictures.
